Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) Teacher Workshop K-12

This workshop introduces participants to the wide range of resources available on the Library of Congress website, with a focus on the “Teacher Resources” section. Participants will engage in hands-on activities that can be directly applied in K–12 classrooms across various disciplines and grade levels. The featured materials provide a snapshot of the rich collection of visual and textual artifacts available for classroom use. Library of Congress digital primary sources are presented as tools to support active learning and promote high-level student inquiry and investigation.

Participants will also explore how integrating primary sources can enhance instruction and help 21st-century learners develop a deeper understanding of the connections between the past, present, and future.

Each workshop will run from 9:00am-3:00pm.
