A Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Day Camp on the campus of SUNY Geneseo.
Soaring Stars 2.0 will engage your student in hands-on, inquiry-based learning.
Eligibility:
- Students need to be entering 6th grade in fall 2026.
- Students must reside in Livingston County.
When is this summer’s program?
This summer’s program will run July 20th through July 31st.
Where is this summer’s program held & who runs camp?
On the campus of SUNY Geneseo. A New York State-certified science teacher & teaching assistants provide instruction. The on-site camp director also supervises the day-to-day logistics of the program.
Transportation
Transportation is free of charge to the district and families for the following schools: Avon CSD, Dansville CSD, Geneseo CSD, Keshequa CSD, Mt. Morris CSD, and York CSD. The pick-up and drop-off location is planned for a central location at your district’s campus. Exact pick-up and drop-off times will be shared closer to the start of the program. Caregivers will be responsible for getting your student to the drop-off location.
Health Services at Camp
Access to medical personnel is available on campus allowing us to provide first aid, administer medications that are prescribed by physician, and handle emergency situations. Information will be available upon enrollment for medications administered at camp.
Lunch and Snacks
Students will have lunch provided at an on-campus dining facility. Snacks will also be provided. A variety of hot and cold lunch options are available. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice on the enrollment form.
