History Teachers' Day offers content-based workshops on historical topics that are taught by SUNY Geneseo professors.
Participants can choose from four workshops to attend during the day: two in US history and two in world history. The topics are based on the professor's area of expertise, and they are aligned with New York State social studies standards. These workshops explore the latest scholarship on the topic and include discussions on primary source analysis and how to incorporate these themes and documents in classroom instruction. Participants receive tailored workshop-specific packets containing primary-source documents suitable for classroom use.
